Zimbabwe

If there were no other reason to visit Zimbabwe, the legendary Victoria Falls - one of the seven wonders of the world - would be reason enough. But add to that, the warm and welcoming smiles, the bright African sunshine, the wilderness and the wild life, the dynamic African vibe, and more than enough adventure for the most energetic explorer, and you'll certainly fall in love with Zimbabwe.

Africa may be one continent, but each country has a unique people, landscapes and attributes... and you'll soon uncover the special nature of the Zimbabwean people, places and feel their pride in this, their homeland.

Bounded north and south by two of southern Africa's mighty rivers, the Limpopo and the Zambei, are many first-class game parks and unique historical and cultural sites like the Great Zimbabwe Ruins. At the end of this rainbow, there's the majestic Victoria Falls!

If you have a heart for the great outdoors, and long to be an integral part of it, Zimbabwe is a magnificent destination. At Victoria Falls -the world's biggest and most spectacular waterfall- there are untold dramatic (and less so) sports and action activities. You'll be offered a wide range of professionally managed thrills: join the wetset careering down the river on a raft, river-board, jet boat, or canoe; put your best foot forward on a trail... hiking, bird-watching, mountain-biking, or horse-riding. Or for brave hearts, take a jump off the bridge -the second highest jump in the world- and freefall for 111 meters!

Weather

Zimbabwe is a year-round destination. The best time to visit Victoria Falls is after the rainy season (April and May). At the end of the dry season (October to December), the water levels are low. Winter months (May to September) are best for game viewing.
